My son’s girlfriend is staying for the weekend. She was supposed to go back home today, but it got delayed, much to Eric’s delight. She’s a good girl. I like her.

My shoulder hurts. I have taken painkillers yet, it hasn’t helped. Widget is upstairs with me in the office occasionally playing with the cat. I probably wenched it when Widget ran away this morning. He had a good time running around the nieghborhood for a good hour before I cought him. Now he’s being all lovie dovie towards me, despite growlling at me all the way home.

The snow is finally melting….. but we are due for some more tomorrow.

on Wendesdays, I sleep

I work nights. five days a week. so I try my best to get some sleep on wendesdays before my work nights. It is a hassle, for I never get enough sleep to prepare myself. So, it is off to bed for me. I hope to at least get about five hours of sleep today. I am tired enough to sleep…… hopefully.

Kevin redid my blog design. It looks so good! He also showed me how to connect tumblr to twitter and facebook. This way whatever I post here, will show up on both sites.

Health wise, I got got a cold or allergies. I won’t tell you what that is like(miserable).

fall ramblings

I have decided that I don’t really like fall. I miss the sun. I go to work in the dark and leave in the dark. The garden goes dead, the grass goes brown. I am always cold despite how many layers of clothes I wear. I have to wear socks in bed for my cold feet. and I fear, gloves for my hands. I want the warmth of the sun back. The only good thing about October is Holloween and my wedding aniversery. Now I have to wait until spring.

Life lessons I learn in the past week

I learned:

that if you put in a car battery backward, it will blow our the car’s brain.
it is best to go to work, even though you don’t feel like it.
a hungry cat is not nice to be around.
sleeping during the day is hard!
keep your valuables in your locker.

I watched the 1978 verson of the movie this morning because it had Tom Baker in it according to the t.v. guide discription. I was vastly dissipointed that it has not. Thank goodness for Tom Baker. The movie was a waste of film. The only good parts were the beginning and the ending of the film with Dudley Moore’s piano playing because of his expertise of being a classically trained pianist and the end because the film was finally over. If I went to this film in the theater, I would have walked out after 20 minutes.

The film could only be viewed for a few minutes at a time as it seems to be comprised of short sketches sutable for a television 1970’s show. I must admit I did chuckle at some spots, but I think it just stinks.

As you probably read on Program Witch Page

My ipod was stolen from my work bag by one of my fellow associates. I have no idea who. I used this device during my breaks, in order to relax and enjoy my podcasts. This ipod was special to me because Kevin gave it to me as a early Christmas present as I was recovering from the stroke. It is very hard for me to work at a place where I have to work with a thief. My innocent fellow workers are upset because we have a thief in our midst. He is scum. Why am I the only one who feels bad emotionally and physically while he is laughing behind my back, with my ipod? I did file a police report, for what good it will do. I hope if he doesn’t get caught in this life, he will in the next. I have a great belief in karma.

It is not the item that got me upset. It is the knowledge that the scum violated my personal space. I am still angry. I not rich, I work hard for my money. It will be time before I can afford another ipod. I have to pay my medical bills first.

Kevin has been getting after me to post daily. I don’t think it would happen. In medical news, My stroke recovery is ongoing. I think I am getting better. my arm only gets weak when I am tired or stressed out. I am able to do small motions, such as writing and typing better then when I first had the stroke. I am going to the doctor every 3 months

I am still working. Due for a vacation in June. Yeah! Every day is closer to retirement.
